Design platform Figma has unveiled a suite of new AI-driven features aimed at streamlining web and app creation, content production and vector illustration, positioning itself as a competitive alternative to creative heavyweights such as Adobe, Canva and emerging AI-first platforms such as Wix and Replit.

The centerpiece of the launch is Figma Sites, an AI-powered website creation tool that allows users to generate and publish fully responsive websites directly from within Figma.

Designed to eliminate the typical handoff between design and development, Sites enables collaborative editing, dynamic content creation, and animation integration—all within a no-code interface. The tool will also feature a built-in content management system (CMS) capable of generating and managing blog content, thumbnails, and metadata.

For more technical needs, Sites supports the addition of custom code and AI-generated snippets, enabling the inclusion of advanced features such as stock tickers and interactive widgets.

Accompanying it is Figma Make, a companion tool focused on ideation and prototyping. Users can describe an app concept in natural language and watch it come to life as a working prototype. Teams can collaborate in real time and, where needed, developers can dive into the underlying code to fine-tune functionality.

The updates extend to marketing workflows with the launch of Figma Buzz, a tool built for marketers to create campaign assets using brand-approved templates. Buzz enables bulk asset generation from spreadsheet data and incorporates AI tools for background editing and image creation.

Figma also debuted Figma Draw, a new vector illustration tool that brings professional-grade editing features, such as text on a path, pattern fills, multi-vector editing, brushes, and noise textures, into the platform. This eliminates the need for designers to switch between Figma and other vector tools.

The company has bundled its latest offerings under a new subscription tier called the content seat, priced at $8/month. This plan includes access to Figma Buzz, Slides, FigJam and the new Sites CMS.
