Raj Iyer Appointed Chief Information Officer of the United States Army

(US and Canada) Raj Iyer was appointed as Chief Information Officer of the United States Army, leaving his previous position as Managing Director of Government and Public Services at Deloitte. Before this appointment, Raj Iyer has had a long career working in the US Government as well as in the US army; he has worked as a team leader at the US Army CCDC Ground Vehicle Systems Center, as Director of Data Management at the US Army TACOM (United States Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command), as Chief Technology Officer at the US Material Command, and as Director of Information Services then Senior Technology Advisor at the US Department of Health and Human Services. With his extensive history in military and government intelligence, Raj Iyer is more than qualified to be the Army’s first civilian CIO.
