WHAT: Dr. Steve Robbins, the author of "What If? Short Stories to Spark Diversity Dialogue," and creator of a new video training series called "Inclusion Insights," will address more than 700 consumer product and retail leaders at the NEW Cincinnati 2018 Fall Learning Event at JACK Casino on October 25, 2018. The Network of Executive Women (NEW) Cincinnati, a non-profit organization focused on advancing women, growing business and transforming the workplace through the power of community, is commemorating its 10th anniversary in 2018.
Dr. Robbins has inspired, educated and prepared leaders and executives for the exciting challenges of dynamic and diverse environments at top companies including Disney, Walmart, Coca-Cola, Pixar, NASA, Caterpillar, Boeing, Dow Chemical, Michelin, Toyota and Exxon Mobil.
Dr. Robbins’ unique, science-based approach to inclusion and diversity has captured wide acclaim from numerous audiences and organizations across the United States. His approach does NOT blame or point fingers. It uses neuroscience and the science of human behavior to encourage individuals and organizations to be more open-minded, mindful and intentional about inclusion and valuing people for their unique gifts, abilities and experiences.
Dr. Robbins earned an undergraduate degree in Communication from Calvin College, and his masters and doctorate in Communication Science from Michigan State University. Born in Vietnam, Dr. Robbins immigrated with his mother to the United States where they faced many challenges during a time when there was much anti-war and anti-Vietnamese sentiment.

Additional details: NEW was launched nationally in 2001 and the NEW Cincinnati Region was established in 2008 by leaders at The Kroger Co. and Procter & Gamble. Since then, the NEW Cincinnati Region has grown exponentially, reaching over 12,000 consumer products and retail industry leaders and college students over the last 10 years.
The Kroger and P&G executives believed NEW Cincinnati was a critical initiative to further the advancement of women in the consumer products and retail industry. The Cincinnati region is focused on promoting the advancement of women, and providing a network of support, training and development to women and men.
NEW Cincinnati kicked off its 10th anniversary celebration at its Spring Learning event featuring Dr. Condoleezza Rice, the 66th U.S. Secretary of State. NEW Cincinnati is focusing on its continued growth to foster and embrace a community of women in leadership.
