(US and Canada) Diwakar Goel has joined BlackRock as Global Head of Data Platform and Solutions, leaving GE after 16 years of work. BlackRock, a financial management company based in New York City, has grown worldwide after being founded in 1988 and has expanded to have locations in California as well as in Singapore and throughout Europe. Prior to this important jump in his career, Diwakar Goel has worked at many different branches of GE in many different positions; most notably, he started as Operations Leader at GE Appliances in 2005, worked as Senior Audit Manager at GE Corporate from 2011 to 2015, and became Vice President and Global Chief Data Officer in 2016, his last position at the company. Educated at the Manipal Institute of Technology, Diwakar Goel Co-Chairs Evanta and serves as a board member at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
