Michael first encountered Catherine by discovering a mutual business relationship they shared on LinkedIn. He was drawn to her beauty and impressive list of professional skills, accomplishments and affiliations. After a few weeks, Michael met Catherine at Taste of Cincinnati, an auspicious start to a love story. The three years after their meeting at the festival on Fifth Street have been filled with amazing dates, travel and blessed moments that have strengthened their love. 

Catherine and Michael were engaged May 8, 2015, the day he picked up the ring from Richter & Phillips. It was a ring befitting her beautiful hand – an emerald cut with a diamond halo. He proposed at his home without great fanfare, tricks or props. He simply declared his love and asked to marry her and spend the rest of their lives together. 

The Mount Storm Park Temple of Love was where Catherine and Michael fulfilled their wedding dreams. The ceremony was small: the couple, their children and the officiant, which was absolutely perfect for their family. They celebrated afterwards with friends and loved ones at a black-tie reception at Art Design Consultants’ gallery. Catherine praised Litsa Spanos’ venue as the ideal location, saying, "It portrayed to our guests our couple personality … a beautiful blending of modern urbanism with art deco flair."
