Each year, Broadway in Cincinnati brings the best touring productions to the Queen City for a fraction of the New York City prices. Because of its two-week subscription series, Cincinnati is one of the top markets for Broadway tours, and the city often presents the most well-known shows early in their tours.

Four Broadway shows are hitting the Cincinnati stage soon, and you won’t want to miss out.

Fiddler on the Roof

"Fiddler on the Roof" tells a classic story. Tevye, a father of five daughters in 1905 Russia, strives to maintain his family’s religious and cultural traditions despite outside influences. Three of his daughters want to marry for love, and their choices stray from Tevye’s sense of tradition and propriety. This audience-favorite show is produced by Bartlett Sher, a premium Broadway revival director, who also led production of "My Fair Lady" and "The King and I."

On Your Feet

"On Your Feet" tells the true story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan and their formation of The Miami Sound Machine, a Latin-inspired American band. The show explores the Estefans’ early lives, how they met and how they went from being classified as niche Latin artists to international pop superstars. The Broadway show is filled with Gloria’s career-long hits, including "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You," "Anything For You," And "I See Your Smile." "The song and dance is infectiously fun," Holt says. "People are dancing out of the theater every night."

Cats

This new production of "Cats" recently ended its Broadway run, but was refreshed by Cincinnati-native Andy Blankenbuehler, who also choreographed the multi-award winning "Hamilton." Blankenbuehler made minor, yet impactful changes to Gillian Lynne’s original show choreography and structure, resulting in a thrilling production of "Cats."

Miss Saigon

"Miss Saigon" has been one of the most requested Broadway shows for return to Cincinnati. The musical tells a story about Kim, a young Vietnamese woman who is orphaned by war and forced to work in a bar where she meets and falls in love with an American G.I. soldier. "The music in the show is just beautiful, and it makes for a real theatrical event," Holt says. All shows are presented at the Aronoff Center, and tickets start at $31 for most shows.
