CINCINNATI, OH – BDO USA, LLP, one of the nation’s leading accounting and consulting organizations, today announced that Sandra L. Worthington has joined as the Cincinnati Office Audit Managing Partner. In this role, Ms. Worthington is responsible for operations, strategy, growth, talent matters and managing client and prospect relationships for The  Firm’s Assurance Practice.

Sandy Worthington holds over 20 years of experience in public accounting, serving both publicly and privately owned clients in a variety of industries. She has significant experience with complex accounting issues, internal controls and US GAAP, SEC and IFRS reporting requirements. Demonstrated by her history of serving in leadership roles, Sandy is skilled in developing and maintaining strategic relationships and building and retaining highly motivated teams.

Prior to joining BDO, Ms. Worthington was a Partner at a Big Four firm where she led audit engagements for domestic and international clients. In this role, she also served as a Recruiting and Women’s Initiative Leader, and was significantly involved in the design and implementation of a national program which focused on the development and retention of senior female professionals.

Sandy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. Sandy received a B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance from the Wright State University, in Dayton, OH.
