(US and Canada) Compliance and transaction advisory firm VMG Health has recently appointed Otis Hendershott as Chief Technology and Data Officer. Hendershot will be responsible for driving overall technological innovation and data-driven decision-making for the company as it expands into new markets and enhances its product offerings.

Prior to joining VMG Health, Hendershott held the position of Chief Information Officer at OptumCare Northeast and Midwest within Optum. In this role, he was responsible for technology strategy and execution across three Chief Digital Officers (CDOs) in New England—Atrius, Reliant Medical Group, and ProHealth CT—as well as two CDOs in the Midwest—Unity Health and American Health Network.

Additionally, he oversaw technology operations for OptumHealth’s Midwest Risk Bearing Entity, showcasing his broad-reaching influence and leadership in optimizing technological advancements within the healthcare sector.

Hendershott is an experienced C-Level executive renowned for his adeptness in building high-performance global technology teams. With a proven track record, he has consistently delivered aggressive technology capital plans and excelled in driving costs out of legacy platforms.
