Sarang Deshpande, Franciscan Health VP, Data and Analytics, Joins CDO Magazine Global Editorial Board

(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Sarang Deshpande to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board.  Deshpande is a healthcare executive leader in the data, digital, and applications space with almost two decades of experience at large care delivery networks. With a passion for evangelism, democratization, and governance of information, he is an expert at planning and delivering digital solutions to drive strategy as well as tactics for clinical and operational optimization, performance management, digital innovation, strategic planning, and regulatory reporting in healthcare. 

Based in Indianapolis, Deshpande currently serves as the Vice President of Data and Analytics at Franciscan Health, where he has ownership of system-wide strategy and operations for data, analytics, and interoperability. As a senior leader in Information Systems (IS), he manages teams across data architecture and engineering; business and clinical analytics and reporting; advanced analytics, interfaces and API; and data governance.

He is relentlessly focused on building a high-performance knowledge management function, leveraging a wide range of tools and technologies across the entire information life cycle with a goal to enable timely and accurate decision support for executives, operators, and caregivers.

Prior to his current role, Deshpande has built a successful career spanning across academic and community health systems to deliver data-driven clinical and business improvements and operational efficiencies. With a masters-level training in computer science and an ongoing MBA, he brings a valued consulting, product, and business-focused mindset to design and deliver digital solutions that support providers at the forefront of delivering value-based, high-quality care to patients.
