Sahar Nezami Joins Meridian Credit Union as VP of Enterprise Analytics and Data

(US and Canada) Meridian Credit Union has recently appointed Sahar Nezami as Vice President of Enterprise Analytics and Data.

Nezami shared her enthusiasm for the new role in a LinkedIn post, stating, "I am very excited to take on this new position and embark on this journey with Meridian. Using data and analytics, we can further enable and accelerate our 'Meridian for Good' strategy, helping our members achieve their best lives."

Nezami previously served as Senior Director, Analytics and Insights, at the Bank of Canada where she was responsible for the development and implementation of the bank’s enterprise analytics strategy and roadmap, to advance the use of analytics across the organization, and to build centralized analytics and advanced data science services.

Nezami's journey has been punctuated by remarkable achievements, including her recognition as one of the Global Top-100 Innovators in Data and Analytics.  Her diverse educational background, encompassing a foundation as a software engineer, coupled with her M.Sc. and MBA degrees, has equipped her with a holistic perspective.

With over 15 years of business experience, Nezami has orchestrated the application of analytics across multifaceted challenges, ranging from pivotal product management and pricing determinations to intricate financial insights, competitive intelligence, risk assessment, and assurance, culminating in her significant role in policy and governance.

She holds a position on the CDO Magazine Global Editorial Board, showcasing her contributions to the field of data.
