(US and Canada) Global law firm McGuireWoods has appointed Tom Trujillo as Chief Innovation and AI Officer. He will oversee the development and implementation of business solutions, including AI-driven tools, to enhance client services and improve firm operations.
Trujillo will also join McGuireWoods’ Technology Committee, a group consisting of attorneys and business professionals responsible for selecting and implementing business solutions and technology applications.
In addition to his new role, Trujillo will continue as director of MWAccel, a client service initiative designed to assist corporate legal departments with complex legal and business challenges, while strengthening McGuireWoods’ relationships with key clients. MWAccel, established in 2021, utilizes the expertise of lawyers, consultants, and data scientists/engineers to implement solutions in various areas of legal operations.
Trujillo, a cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, previously worked in the legal departments at General Motors and Ford Motor Co. in Detroit, followed by positions at Bank of America and Wells Fargo in Charlotte, before joining McGuireWoods to launch MWAccel.
