(US and Canada) Former Zoetis data head Krishna Cheriath has announced his new role as the Chief Data, Analytics, and AI Officer at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Clinical Research Group (CRG).

Cheriath made the announcement in a LinkedIn post saying, “...I am thrilled to announce that I am joining Thermo Fisher Scientific's Clinical Research Group (CRG) as their Chief Data, Analytics and AI officer. It is an honor to be part of an organization with a rich history of innovation and dedication to making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.”

As the new Chief Data, Analytics, and AI Officer, Cheriath aims to harness the power of data, analytics, and AI to enhance clinical research and development processes, improve patient outcomes and experiences, and drive operational efficiency and innovation.

He also serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Carnegie Mellon University, partnering with Heinz College to develop the Chief Data Officer Certificate program (CDataO) and delivering executive-level instruction on data, digital, and analytics strategies in both the public and private sectors. Additionally, he holds the position of Adjunct Faculty at Rutgers Business School, where he is currently designing a digital strategy module for C-Suite training programs.

Prior to the latest role, Cheriath served as VP and Head of Digital, Data, and Analytics at Zoetis. He also previously served as the Chief Data Officer and Head of Digital Strategy at Bristol Myers Squibb. With over 15 years of experience in management consulting, he has held positions at prestigious firms such as PWC, IBM, Accenture, and TCS.

Cheriath holds a position on the CDO Magazine Global Editorial Board, showcasing his contributions to the field of data.
