(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Justin Heller to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. Heller is Chief Data Officer at Synchrony, where he is responsible for the design and build of the overall enterprise data strategy and data management program. As CDO, Heller sets standards for how data is defined, measured, made available for business processes, and governed through its lifecycle in support of customers and clients.

Prior to joining Synchrony, Heller was Executive Director at Ernst & Young where he served as the practice lead for Data Governance. In this role, he provided strategic advisory services to other CDOs creating firmwide data governance strategies. Earlier in his career, he managed Standard & Poor’s reference and master data services for its Ratings Services division and brings over 30 years of financial services experience to Synchrony.

Heller holds a Master’s degree in Interactive Telecommunications and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from New York University. Justin has been awarded two patents: one for data quality and another for data sharing.
