(APAC) Financial services institution Humm Group has appointed Philippa Davies as Chief Data Officer. Davies is a dynamic executive leader with deep experience in the financial services industry and a range of diverse specialisms, combined with a passion for data-driven transformation.

Davies is a leader of strategic initiatives and operational performance improvement across banking, funds management, life insurance, and superannuation. Her focus areas include customer experience, product strategy, operational risk management, and agile delivery.

Prior to joining Humm Group, Davies was part of the senior leadership team of the Chief Data and Analytics Office at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. She is a key creator and builder of the operating model of the Customer Engagement Engine, CBA's AI-driven, multi-channel engagement platform. This platform uses 57 billion data points to personalize messaging to customers, facilitating more than 50 million interactions daily.

Davies has a passion for creating new and evolving business models and helping teams to strategically connect the dots. With strong communication and stakeholder management skills, she successfully interacts at all levels within an organization. She enjoys building high-performance teams of over 150 members, and coaching and mentoring staff both within her team and externally, with a strong focus on inclusion and diversity.
