(US and Canada) Major construction enterprise Suffolk recently appointed Aleksey Chuprov as Vice President of Data Analytics. Chuprov will leverage his project management and strategy consulting experience to drive Suffolk’s data and AI strategy, ensuring project efficiency. He will work closely with Jit Kee Chin, who has recently been named Suffolk’s Chief Technology Officer, expanding upon her former responsibilities as Chief Data and Innovation Officer.

“Suffolk is thrilled to add Aleksey to our cutting-edge data analytics team, which is helping to lead the intelligence revolution across the built world,” said Jit Kee Chin. “Suffolk is an industry leader in our approach to technology and we will continue accelerating our data and analytics function as the world turns to digital solutions and artificial intelligence. As we expand and standardize our use of data across the project lifecycle, Aleksey’s strategic mindset and technical expertise will help Suffolk continue to lead the industry in tech-enabled innovation.”

Chuprov joins Suffolk after six years with McKinsey & Company, most recently as an Associate Partner, where he served clients in construction, engineering, energy, and manufacturing industries with a specific focus on capital investment strategy and portfolio optimization, project value improvement, and delivery excellence. Prior to this, Chuprov was a Project Manager and Offshore Rig Operations Manager for Schlumberger, where he gained valuable experience managing sizable teams and a complex ecosystem of subcontractors and partners to construct and operate advanced offshore rigs.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to join Suffolk, a company that is on the leading edge of data innovation in the construction industry,” said Chuprov. “Suffolk already maintains a great level of transparency in its operations through data; in just a matter of clicks, we can see exactly the status and trends of each of our projects across the country, which helps teams predict where projects are headed in terms of cost, schedule and even safety outcomes. Understanding the current state of our projects enables Suffolk to optimize the delivery of our projects, as well as predict and mitigate issues before they even arise; that is the level of difference between Suffolk and our competitors.”
