Senior data, analytics, and AI executives examined what it takes to harness enterprise AI safely and effectively at CDO Magazine’s Philadelphia Executive Boardroom Dinner on March 5. The event provided a platform for industry leaders to exchange insights on the safe and responsible use of AI, addressing the opportunities and challenges that come with scaling enterprise AI initiatives.

A key highlight of the evening was the panel discussion on “Safe Use of Data + AI to Unleash the Power of Enterprise AI.” Experts explored governing and managing unstructured data, the evolving role of data leaders as AI enablers, and how data teams can effectively communicate their impact to the C-suite.

The panel of experts were:

  • Kyle Pudenz, Cencora SVP, Enterprise Data & Analytics

  • Vijay Yadav, Merck Director, Data Science, Advanced Analytics

  • Priya Serai, Zeus Fire & Security Chief Information Officer

The session was moderated by Tiffany Perkins Munn, JP Morgan Chase Head of Data & Analytics for JP Morgan Chase’s Connected Commerce and Digital Payments.

Sharing a key insight from the session, speaker Pudenz says, “When discussing AI, GenAI, or any aspect of data and analytics, we must always frame our efforts in terms of how they support the organization’s overall business strategy, as defined by the senior executive team. This ensures that limited resources are directed toward initiatives with measurable value, making the strongest case for impact and investment.”

“We planted the seeds of a dynamic data and analytics community in our first formal CDO Magazine dinner meeting in Philadelphia,” says speaker Yadav. “The energy in the room was palpable, and the engaged discussions sparked a catalyst for future collaboration. Together, we are off to a great start!” he adds.

Reflecting on the event, moderator Munn says: “‘Ain’t no stopping us now” by 1979 R&B duo McFadden & Whitehead was our theme song for CDO Magazine’s inaugural Philadelphia Executive Boardroom Dinner. Through pouring rain and gusty winds, the panelists, each representing a unique industry, showed up to deliver an insightful and riveting discussion to a full audience. It was a great session covering topics on AI integration, data challenges, and helping CEOs digest and implement AI and ML. We are looking forward to growing the Philadelphia community!”
