AI, cloud, cyber threats, and regulation have elevated the need for better quality and control of data to enable the achievement of business goals responsibly. That said, harnessing the collective capabilities of data management and information security remains a challenge.
A major reason for this challenge is that data management and information security can be at odds. Data management and analytics tends to focus on enabling the business to be better, smarter, faster, and cheaper. Whereas security’s focus on protection from increasing threats often thwarts these efforts. Can a race be won with one foot on the break and one on the gas?
Our panelists hail from a wide range of industries and relevant backgrounds, which is certain to bring a variety of fascinating and fruitful perspectives. This stimulating discussion works toward a shared vision and practical approaches to striking the balance that will get data and security on the same page.
