CDO Magazine Milwaukee Dinner Spotlights Data Reliability and Quality Challenges

Top data, analytics, information security, and technology executives came together at CDO Magazine’s Executive Boardroom Dinner in Milwaukee on May 8 to discuss "The Impact of Data Reliability & Data Quality Issues on Achieving a Data-Driven Culture."

The event gathered speakers and peers participating in the CDO Magazine Data & Security Summit Wisconsin on May 9. Guests engaged in insightful exchanges, sharing strategies, challenges, and best practices in ensuring data quality for nurturing a data-driven culture.

Reflecting on the discussion, Vignesh Shetty, Senior Vice President of Digital Health & AI Services at GE HealthCare, emphasizes the need to focus on understanding the organization's unique strategic landscape: "Fascinating conversations at the CDO Magazine Boardroom Dinner. We often get caught comparing apples to oranges on what to prioritize. It’s time to shift focus – to understand your unique game, and either win it brilliantly or iterate until you do.”

From his experience at the event, Tim Dickson, RegalRexnord Chief Digital & Information Officer, shares: “With as many cities as CDO Magazine is in now, Steve (Wanamaker) still does a really good job making Milwaukee feel special. We still have close connections though we haven’t seen you guys in a year. It feels like we’re kindred spirits back together again.”

Sharing his take, Amith Nair, Vituity Chief Information Officer, says, “Great dinner, good food and great thought leaders from different business verticals.” His takeaway from the conversation was “how data is the new oil which is the foundation for everything that we do. And, having governance to build the trust in data is paramount. We need to look at new ways to build governance and make governance a part of our culture.”
