Women Data Leaders’ Global Summit Tackles Data-Driven Business Transformation
(US and Canada) The second annual Women Data Leaders’ Global Summit, hosted by CDO Magazine and the Women Data Professionals forum of EDM Council, brought together more than 2,000 women and supporters in data and analytics from 80+ countries in various industries November 2-3, 2022. This unique conference — made by and for women leaders — was held virtually across two half-days focused on the theme “Data-Driven Business Transformation.”
The Women Data Leaders’ Global Summit spotlighted 120 of today’s innovative thought leaders and trailblazers in data management. More than 30 virtual leadership panels and keynote sessions provided opportunities to discuss new ideas, technology trends and best practices.
BigID Chief Data Officer Peggy Tsai and Chandra Donelson kicked off day one of the summit with their keynote presentation, “Enabling Data-Driven Business Transformation - One Whiteboard at a Time.” They highlighted what the new data era means for change-makers and how leaders can effectively get buy-in from those who are resistant. This was followed with a keynote address by Maria Nazareth, Partner, Data & Analytics at PwC, titled “The New Frontier for Data in a World of Hyper-Precision and Hyper-Customization."
Day two of the summit commenced with a keynote presentation by Qlik Chief Transformation Officer Poornima Ramaswamy highlighting “5 Data Megatrends (re)Shaping Our Uncertain World." Next, Eileen Vidrine, Senior Strategic Advisor for Data to the Federal CIO, Office of Management and Budget, Executive Office of the President, and EDM Council President John Bottega, led a fireside chat regarding “Data as a Strategic Asset: Driving Innovation & Business Transformation.”
The summit featured critical topics relevant to today’s leaders in any industry where every organization depends on data to drive optimal business strategies and advance digital transformation. Presenters also discussed dealing with the complexity of data and its numerous challenges, such as data governance, migration to cloud technology, data privacy and compliance.
Hot topic tracks included leadership and governance for transforming the world, data for the human factor, ESG and sustainability and what’s next in data transformation technology.
