Reflecting on his keynote “A Blueprint for Scalable, Responsible AI: Navigating Compliance and Governance,” speaker Reiskind says, “Sharing the Mastercard Responsible AI program with fellow CDOs was a true pleasure. This initiative is not just a business imperative for us but also for many other trusted brands. The feedback and new ideas we received will undoubtedly help us continue to advance our Responsible AI efforts across the board.”
Sharing his take, speaker Ash Dhupar, Analog Devices Chief Data & Analytics Officer, says, “This conference provided valuable insights into the current state of GenAI and its implications for businesses.”. He adds his key takeaways from his presentation on “Scaling Generative AI: From Lab to Launchpad:”
The recognition that GenAI is creating new hurdles for organizations regarding people, technology, and processes.
While there’s a lot of prototyping happening, truly scalable solutions that make a tangible impact are still a struggle for most organizations.
It’s clear that a robust, data-driven AI infrastructure is essential for organizations to meet the evolving demands of this new era.

Speaker Tiffany Perkins-Munn, JPMorgan Chase Head, Data and Analytics for JPMorgan Chase’s Connected Commerce & Digital Payments, describes her panel “Unstructured Data Strategy: Lessons from Real-World GenAI Use Cases” as a “fascinating and insightful” exchange.

Adding his key takeaways from the “Unstructured Data Strategy” panel, speaker Dhaul highlights the following insights:
Unstructured data holds untapped potential. GenAI will be a major driver of unlocking value from the unstructured data encompassing formats like text, images, audios, and videos. This data is rich in contextual information and harnessing this information provides a real-life, unfiltered representation of a company’s products and consumer experiences.
Cement a data product first mindset across the organization. Invest in creating domain specific data products like Customer 360 that provides complete business context and meaning to data to help users access and interpret it. Build a frictionless marketplace that fosters a “curate once, use everywhere” approach. It enables data democratization and faster monetization.
Focus on “data that matters” and mobilize the organization to ensure it is “clean, complete and connected!” Be on a mission to harness its value via AI to enable growth and/or unlock productivity.
Invest in a robust data strategy for clean, complete, and connected data. There is no AI without the data foundation which includes acquisition, ingestion, and processing of various data types (structured, unstructured, and synthetic) and in real-time to generate actionable insights.

Shedding light on her experience at the event, panelist Kjersten Moody, Prudential Chief Data Officer, says: “Thank you to CDO Magazine for bringing together so many members of our strong community. Once again, CDO Magazine’s Summit was an enlightening experience. The depth of insight, the innovative strategies, and the collaborative spirit demonstrated by data and AI leaders were inspirational for us all to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Kudos to all the organizers and participants for fostering such an environment.”
Offering insights from her panel “The Evolving CDO/CDAO/CAIO Roles,” speaker Anjali Gupta Reddi, Green Street Chief Data Officer, says, “The role of the Chief Data Officer (CDO) has evolved significantly over the past decade, reflecting the increasing importance of analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) in organizational strategy.”
Reddi elaborates that the evolution of the CDO role into a Chief Data & Analytics Officer (CDAO) or a Chief AI Officer (CAIO) “reflects the growing strategic importance of data, analytics, and AI in driving business value.” Additional drivers for this change according to Reddi include:
• Need for an end-to-end data strategy
• Big data technologies
• AI democratization & need for AI governance
• Cultural transformation to become data driven organizations
• Innovation Imperative for organizations to stay ahead
