(US and Canada) Under the leadership of co-chairs Angelo Mazzocco and Ben Blanquera, the Central Ohio CIO Forum partnered with ComSpark and CDO Magazine hosted the GPSec Columbus Tech Summit on Nov. 15, 2022, in Columbus, Ohio.

With the vision to champion the midwestern portion of the United States as a world leader in technology, this unique event spotlighted more than 130 of today’s technology thought leaders and trailblazers from Central Ohio and the Midwest.

The summit featured five keynote presentations and 25 breakout sessions, allowing participants to discuss new ideas, technology trends, and best practices.

“The ComSpark GPSec Tech Summit was well worth attending,” says MedOne Healthcare Partners Chief Information Officer Brian Shea. “It was packed with insightful information shared by the keynote speakers and panelists. There were also great opportunities to meet with leading technology vendors and network amongst fellow leaders/peers in the community. ComSpark did a great job in pulling together such a content-rich event.”

More than 500 attendees from Central Ohio and the Midwest gathered to hear expert panelists with diverse experience from multiple industries, including aviation and aerospace, financial and legal services, health care, insurance, education and training, and government.

Hot topic tracks included building a data-driven enterprise, leveraging data to drive business value and outcomes, the journey toward zero trust, best practices with cybersecurity in the cloud, securing third-party and supply chain best practices, identity access management best practices, building high-performing remote teams, and attracting, retaining, and developing talent.

“GPSec Columbus Tech Summit this year was packed with outstanding sessions and panels from expert presenters. It’s a reminder of how talent-rich this area is,” notes First Financial Bank Chief Information Officer Nick Ritter. “In addition to the informative presentations, peer interaction is unbeatable in its value. One of the best parts of these events is meeting people and learning how they solve problems in their organizations. I always walk away with new ideas.”

GuidePoint Security Sales Director Bob Fehrenbach describes the summit as a first-class event. “It was very well organized,” he emphasizes. “The feedback from our customers and contacts who participated has been overwhelmingly positive."

Thirty innovative solution providers sponsored the event.

“GPSec Columbus Tech Summit was an excellent conference,” says Avaap Vice President of Advisory Services Angelo Mazzocco. “There are not many conferences where you can attend, meet and hear from the CIO of the FBI and NASA, and the CDO in the Executive Office of the President of the United States.  Some of the best technologies and businesses were represented.  Although the conference is held in Columbus, Ohio, each year, there is great representation from throughout the country. Some of the best technologies and businesses were represented. Mark your calendar now to attend the next one.”

Thank you to all our sponsors for making GPSec Columbus Tech Summit 2022 a huge success.
