Zoom Video Communications has launched Zoom Workplace, an AI-driven collaboration platform accompanied by innovations to enhance teamwork and productivity.

Ask AI Companion Expansion

Expected to roll out over April and May, the new Ask AI Companion gathers, synthesizes, and shares information from various sources like meetings, emails, chats, and documents to assist users in preparing for their workday. It also helps in meeting preparation, recap, agenda drafting, summarizing chat and email threads, and accessing relevant content from select third-party applications.

The AI Companion capabilities are now integrated into Zoom Phone, enabling post-call summaries, voicemail prioritization, and task extraction from voicemails to enhance productivity. Additionally, Team SMS thread summaries provide quick overviews for catching up on messages.

Team Chat has also gotten AI upgrades. The new features include smart scheduling, sentence completion, multilingual support, and more. Whiteboard capabilities allow for generating and refining flowcharts and mind maps.
