Professional networking platform LinkedIn has launched two AI-powered tools to streamline job searching and recruitment processes.
The first feature, called Jobs Match, offers personalized feedback to help users quickly determine whether a job is worth applying for. With 9,000 LinkedIn applications submitted every minute, this tool aims to help candidates evaluate their suitability for roles more efficiently.
The second offering is an AI recruitment agent tailored for smaller businesses. Acting as a virtual recruiter, this tool leverages LinkedIn’s extensive platform data to post job openings and screen applicants for small teams.
Both tools are free to use in their basic versions, marking a departure from LinkedIn’s usual strategy of prioritizing premium customers.
LinkedIn says these features address the increasing needs of job seekers and small businesses, as more users search for work and more small businesses turn to the platform for hiring. The tools are built on LinkedIn’s proprietary AI technology and first-party data, according to Rohan Rajiv, a director of product management at the company.
