Social media platform X (formerly Twitter) announced the launch of its new “Stories” feature powered by its in-house chatbot Grok AI. The feature is currently only available to premium subscribers on the iOS and Web versions.

Available under the ‘For You’ tab within the ‘Explore’ section, ‘Stories’ replicates trending news stories for its users. X’s Stories presents news summaries based on users interests. Further, Grok AI curates the summary based on user tweets instead of using text from the article or news itself.

However, X acknowledged that the Grok chatbot is prone to hallucinations. Therefore, each story summary will end with a warning that says, “Grok can make mistakes; verify its outputs.”

As per speculation, the feature could help X attract more premium members and also increase engagement on the platform.
