The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a commercially available contract writing system that integrates AI-driven automation to reduce manual effort and decrease the number of clicks required for contract actions.
“The desired solution should not only comply with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulations (VAAR), and other statutory requirements, but also integrate seamlessly with the VA’s financial management systems and leverage advanced AI tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy,” VA stated in a request for information (RFI).
It further said this step was part of their ongoing modernization efforts to enhance procurement operations and potentially reduce reliance on legacy platforms.
Vendors are encouraged to propose innovative features or approaches beyond those outlined in this RFI that could strengthen the VA’s contract management capabilities.
“The VA is seeking information regarding available capabilities, particularly focused on automation, innovation, efficiency, and AI-driven solutions that support the entire acquisition lifecycle,” VA added.
Based on the information received, the VA may invite selected vendors to an Industry Day to demonstrate their system capabilities.
