The U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) has recently introduced its AI roadmap, designed to enhance analytic capabilities, scale operations, and improve adversary disruption.
The five-year strategy, presented by Deputy Director of Plans and Policy Michael Clark, details over 100 initiatives across various mission areas, including security, contested logistics, and national defense.
"The integration of AI is a strategic necessity. Our roadmap will incorporate AI into all aspects of our operations to better address cyber threats,” Clark said.
He further emphasized that the plan responds to the necessity for continuous operations and swift disruption of adversaries, as underscored by recent studies and incidents.
A new task force within the Cyber National Mission Force will spearhead the implementation of the AI roadmap, addressing challenges in talent acquisition, infrastructure, and policy.
The roadmap also includes plans to enhance partnerships with industry, develop sustainable technology, and collaborate with the National Security Agency on computing and AI capabilities.
It features a phased approach with over 60 pilot projects and 26 initiatives to integrate AI, requiring a coordinated strategy across people, data, and infrastructure.
