The U.S. Department of the Treasury is seeking industry feedback on commercial user analytics software as it looks to strengthen its understanding of how people engage with its websites, web applications, and digital services.

In a Request for Information (RFI), Treasury invited vendors to share information on solutions that can help the department measure, analyze, and improve user interactions across its digital platforms. The effort is part of a broader push to enhance digital service delivery through data-driven insights.

According to the RFI, Treasury is interested in technologies that provide visibility into user behavior, customer journeys, content performance, and overall digital experience effectiveness. The department said stronger analytics capabilities are essential for identifying user pain points, streamlining digital workflows, evaluating service effectiveness, and improving decision-making for both public-facing and internal services.

Treasury is open to a range of commercial products and implementation approaches. The department is particularly interested in platforms that support real-time and historical tracking of user sessions, events, and interactions.

Additional areas of interest include customer journey mapping, customizable dashboards, data visualization tools, and mechanisms for collecting in-app user feedback. The RFI also seeks information on security, privacy protections, data governance, scalability, licensing models, and enterprise management capabilities.

Treasury said it is evaluating software-as-a-service, cloud-hosted, self-hosted, and hybrid deployment options, while also requesting details on vendor pricing structures tied to traffic volumes, event counts, data retention, implementation services, and ongoing support.
