The U.S. Special Operation Command (SOCOM) is seeking information from industry, academia, and other parties interested in demonstrating agentic AI capabilities technologies at an upcoming event from April 13-17, 2026, at Avon Park Air Force Range in Florida.
“The primary intent of this event is to highlight technologies that support the modular integration of Agentic AI-based technologies into existing Special Operations Forces [SOF] capabilities,” SOCOM said in a Request for Information (RFI) published on December 12.
According to SOCOM, these events enable developers to collaborate with operational personnel to assess mission relevance. The 2026 focus is integrating modular, agentic AI technologies into existing SOF software architectures.
Areas of interest include agentic protocols and agent-to-agent communication, agent orchestration and workflow design, and effective human–machine teaming.
“SOF requires Agentic AI-based technologies that can collaborate to perform tactical or operational tasks, create and support workflows that can be modularly integrated into existing SOF software architectures,” SOCOM said.
