The the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has partnered with OpenAI to provide ChatGPT Enterprise access to the entire federal executive branch workforce for just $1 per agency over the next year.
The initiative aims to boost efficiency by reducing administrative burdens, enabling public servants to focus more on delivering services to the American people.
“This effort delivers on a core pillar of the Trump Administration’s AI Action Plan by making powerful AI tools available across the federal government so that workers can spend less time on red tape and more time doing what they came to public service to do,” OpenAI said.
The program follows successful pilots, including one in Pennsylvania where employees saved an average of 95 minutes daily on routine tasks, and another in North Carolina where 85% of participants reported positive experiences.
For $1 per year, all U.S. federal agencies get ChatGPT Enterprise access, plus 60 days of unlimited advanced features. OpenAI will also offer training, partner support, and security.
