* African-American's current buying power is $1 trillion and is expected to grow to $1.3 trillion in the next few years.
* 87% of African-Americans feel their cultural/ethnic heritage is important.
* 80% of Black women will tell their friends about a product if they like it.
* At $2.6 billion, last year's ad spend in Black focused media increased 7% from 2012.
* 59% of African-Americans agree that advertisers in Black newspapers know how to connect with African-American audiences.
* 92% of African-Americans tune in to the radio each week and listen for more than 12 hours.
* Trips to healthy food channels such as Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Fresh Market have increased 40% among Black Adults 18-54 with incomes greater than $50,000.
