(United Kingdom) Robin Sutara was recently appointed Microsoft UK’s first Chief Data Officer after over twenty years at the company in various roles. In her new role, Robin aims to optimize data gathering and usage throughout the company as well as encourage continued advancement and business implementation of Artificial Intelligence. Prior to her roles at Microsoft, Robin served in the US Army, performing repairs on electrical systems and armaments on Apache Helicopters. With her role of Chief Data Officer being the first of its kind at Microsoft, it is evident that businesses of all shapes and sizes are beginning to further understand the deep importance and value in proper and productive data usage. With this new role, Microsoft has stated that it is attempting to create a "Data Culture" at their business and encourages other companies to do the same. With Microsoft’s heightened focus on data, their place near the top of the technology sector should continue to stay secure.
