(May 16, 2018 – Cincinnati)  Ambassador of the European Union to the United States David O’Sullivan was the Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker at the European American Chamber of Commerce (EACC) Annual Gala Dinner at the Drees Pavilion on Wednesday, May 16. Nearly 300 guests listened to the Ambassador underscore the importance of America and Europe standing together to defend our shared values of freedom and democracy. He pointed out that America’s investments of blood and treasure in two world wars have not been squandered by Europeans, but have generated the largest trading and investment relationship in the world – Europe is the top export destination for 44 out of 50 U.S. states, and 78 percent of the global foreign direct investment is held between the U.S. and Europe.

The European American Chamber of Commerce was founded in 2007 and works to stimulate business and networking relations between the Cincinnati Tri-State region and Europe. Some 200 European companies have operations across the Greater Cincinnati region, providing over 32,000 jobs. To learn more about the EACC, please visit www.europe-cincinnati.com.
