(US and Canada) Jason Beyer, Vice President, Data & Analytics, Bridgestone Americas, speaks with Jason Masker, Field Chief Technology Officer, Stratascale – an SHI Company, about setting priorities, the importance of culture, and the need for engaging in a community of like-minded data professionals.

Concerning prioritizing, Beyer says it starts with establishing the right fundamentals, i.e., people, data quality, data governance, and operating model.

He stresses that having the right blend of people in the right positions at the right time is critical, and they need to be agile, nimble, and ready to change.

Regarding implementing a data-driven culture, Beyer explains that it needs to be broken into targeted alliances across capabilities with the correct matches to prove the concepts.

He shares his views on the community aspect and says that data and analytics are constantly evolving journeys. The engagement in the community of chief data officers, analytics officers, and equivalents is necessary to share practices and learn from each other as a team sport.
