(USA and Canada) Peter Serenita, Chief Data Officer at Scotiabank, together with Derek Strauss, Chairman & CEO at Gavroshe, explains how the role of CDO has evolved over the last decade. Serenita describes this transition in 3 phases. The first phase focused on data governance and regulatory agendas, followed by a phase which dealt more with analytics for business outcomes, and lastly, a phase focusing on an inclusive view of data governance, business enablement, and customer engagement.
