Michael Zimmer, Wüstenrot & Württembergische Chief Data and AI Officer

(EMEA) German financial services company Wüstenrot & Württembergische (W&W) has appointed Michael Zimmer as Chief Data and AI Officer. Prior to joining W&W, Zimmer served as Chief Data Officer of Zurich Germany, where he was responsible for all data-related topics and drove data-driven change within the organization.

Prior to Zurich Germany, Zimmer was in consulting for 13 years and worked for organizations like Accenture and Deloitte, where he held roles like SAS Lead for Austria, Germany, and Switzerland as well as Insurance Lead for Technology Consulting.

Zimmer is a Fellow of TDWI Germany, a male ally of Women Leaders in Data and AI (WLDA), and a part of the working group for Ethical AI of the German Actuarial Society. He has published several books about Data and AI, is a public speaker, and a columnist. He holds a position on the CDO Magazine Global Editorial Board, showcasing his contributions to the field of data.
