Visa Appoints Andres Vives as Chief Data Officer

(US and Canada) Digital payments leader Visa has announced the appointment of Andres Vives as Chief Data Officer. Vives is a senior business executive with a proven track record in creating value through strategic planning and the execution of strategic initiatives. He has successfully guided innovation agendas within large organizations and has developed high-performing teams to deliver measurable results. Vives is an expert in utilizing Big Data Analytics to drive significant revenue growth and business transformation.

Vives joins Visa with a wealth of experience in data and analytics leadership, particularly in the financial services sector. Prior to joining Visa, he served as Enterprise Chief Data & Analytics Officer at TD Bank for over three years and held the role of Chief Data Officer at Citibanamex for nearly four years. He also previously served over 15 years at Capital One, where he held several senior roles, including Managing Vice President – Head of Big Data Transformation.

As a visionary leader, Vives combines strategic insight, creativity, and business acumen to achieve sustained success for the organizations he serves. He is a dedicated advocate for diversity and talent development, having led various initiatives supporting Hispanic/Latino and East Asian communities.
