(US and Canada) The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has appointed Zeke Maldonado as Chief Information Officer and Director of Technology and Data Services for Intelligence and Analysis. Maldonado is responsible for the planning, budgeting, and implementation of information technology and data services vital to supporting DHS' intelligence functions. He is also tasked with overseeing the architecture, acquisition, and operations of these services, ensuring their alignment with the department’s goals.
Maldonado manages the design, maintenance, and operation of DHS' Top Secret/SCI network, ensuring interoperability with other government systems. He also leads efforts in IT innovation, data analytics, and governance.
Before joining DHS, Maldonado served as Command Information Officer and Director for Technology and Innovation within the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), where he was responsible for the overall management, supervision, and performance management of N6/CIO staff and oversight of contract support services; successfully managing those resources to develop Naval Intelligence enterprise strategies for cloud, data science, and cyber security.
During his tenure at ONI, he also served as Chief Knowledge and Data Officer, Deputy Department Head for C4ISR, and Division Head for Platforms Engineering, Modeling, and Signatures.
