For the week of September 7, highlighted in this edition, we feature key leadership updates at The Hartford, LPL Financial, and Slalom, alongside several other notable appointments recently spotlighted on CDO Magazine.

LPL Financial has named Xin “Cindy” Tu Vice President, Head of Tech & Cyber Governance. Tu brings more than 19 years of financial services experience spanning AI, data, IT, and cybersecurity risk, having previously served as Interim Head of IT & Data Audit at Capital One. In her new role, she serves as the first-line executive point of contact for multi-regulator examination programs and directs the examination lifecycle across cyber, IT, data, and AI controls.

Univar Solutions has appointed Matt Robuck Vice President of Data & AI. Robuck joins the company with over 18 years of experience in enterprise-scale data, analytics, and AI initiatives, most recently serving as Vice President of Data & Analytics at Georgia-Pacific. In his new position, he will lead Univar Solutions’ enterprise data, analytics, and artificial intelligence capabilities across strategy, execution, engineering, and platform teams.

Slalom has tapped Dan Garrison as Chief AI Officer. Garrison spent nearly 30 years at Accenture prior to joining Slalom, most recently serving as Chief Technology Officer for Accenture Song. In his new role, he will set the company’s AI strategy and vision while working with clients and technology partners to deploy responsible, scalable AI solutions.

Jeff Hawkins, Chief Data, AI and Operations Officer at The Hartford, has joined the CDO Magazine Global Board. Hawkins brings over 25 years of technology experience, including prior leadership roles as CIO at CVS Health and 22 years at Humana before joining The Hartford in 2023. At The Hartford, he is responsible for integrating advanced analytics and AI into operations and driving modern data architecture across all lines of business.

Oura has appointed Sanjay Chandra as its first Chief Information Officer, reporting to Sean Brecker. Chandra brings extensive IT leadership experience, having most recently served as Vice President and Global Head of IT at Lucid Motors and previously as CIO and Head of Cloud Operations at TiVo. In his new role, he will oversee Oura’s enterprise technology foundation, enterprise AI strategy, business-systems transformation, and infrastructure to support company growth.
