(US and Canada) The BOLDT Company, a construction and real estate development firm known for its innovative and sustainable building solutions, has appointed Maribeth Achterberg as Chief Information Officer. Achterberg is an innovative – and inspired – global business technology executive, board-level leader, and former business owner.

She is widely recognized for her skillful effectiveness in designing, developing, and implementing information technology (IT) systems to improve business performance. Achterberg also champions initiatives for diversity, equity, and inclusion and women in technology; and creating open, engaging, and highly collaborative work cultures.

Throughout her 24-year career, Achterberg has provided leadership to a range of organizations, from small companies to large Fortune 500 corporations, in an array of industries, including manufacturing, transportation, consumer packaged goods (CPG), food and beverage (F&B), utilities, supply chain, retail, professional services, and the public and nonprofit sectors.

Prior to joining BOLDT Company, Achterberg served as Vice President of Solution Delivery and an IT executive leadership team member at Molson Coors Beverage Company where she developed, built, and implemented IT solutions for global, craft, and specialty brands. She also previously held positions at Johnson Controls, Schneider National, Sodexo, Verity Management Solutions, and Knowledge InterSpace.

Alongside her professional achievements, she has a robust history of board leadership experience. Her key areas of board expertise include governance, cybersecurity risk management, human resources, succession planning, and leadership development.

Currently, she serves on the state board of Women in Technology Inc. Wisconsin (WIT), chairing the program committee, and formerly chaired the WIT on Campus committee for the southeast region. Achterberg holds a position on the CDO Magazine Global Editorial Board, showcasing her contributions to the field of data.

Her functional areas of expertise include strategic planning, digital transformation, cybersecurity, technology enablement, and cultural change management. She is certified as a Lean Practitioner and as a Zachman Enterprise Architect and also has a certificate in Private Company Governance from the Professional Directors Association. She has authored published articles on a range of topics, from change management to the value of data, and has been a featured speaker at numerous industry conferences.
