Anna Hannem, TD Bank VP Data Risk Management

(US and Canada) TD Bank has appointed Anna Hannem as Vice President, Data Risk Management, effective February 2025. Hannem will provide leadership and oversight in managing data-related risks, ensuring strong governance and compliance within the organization.

Hannem brings nearly 20 years of experience in data and analytics, data ethics, and risk management, having led high-impact initiatives across multiple regions, including Canada, the U.S., Central/South America, and the Caribbean. Before joining TD, she held key leadership roles at Scotiabank, most recently serving as Vice President, Data & AI Risk and Director, Data Ethics & Use, where she established an award-winning data ethics practice that influenced the organization’s approach to responsible AI and data governance.

Her leadership in this space earned her the 2023 WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100 Award and global recognition for Scotiabank at the Qorus-Accenture Banking Innovation Awards. This appointment marks Hannem’s return to TD, where she previously held senior roles in data strategy and projects, delivering over $87 million worth of data initiatives, including projects that were among the top priorities for the bank’s senior executives and board of directors.

A strong advocate for women in leadership, Hannem is known for her passion for mentorship and driving meaningful change in the industry.
