(US and Canada) AI innovation partner SYRV.AI has appointed David Ramsey as Vice President of Data Science and AI Engineering. Ramsey, an experienced data science and analytics executive, brings over 20 years of expertise in transforming complex data into strategic business insights.

Before joining SYRV.AI, Ramsey held leadership roles at Macy’s for nearly 18 years, most recently serving as Director of Data Science. In this role, he led predictive modeling initiatives for in-store shopper traffic analysis, implemented language model text analytics to process internal survey data, and developed statistical models for early detection of COVID-19 outbreaks in retail environments. He also directed workforce optimization efforts by leveraging sales, real estate, and demographic data.

Throughout his career, Ramsey has specialized in Bayesian statistics, simulation and modeling, generative deep learning, and large language model (LLM) engineering. He has worked extensively on streamlining real-time data integration and reducing pilot program costs through probabilistic simulations.
