(US and Canada) Surescripts, a health information network in the United States that facilitates electronic prescribing and exchange of healthcare information between healthcare providers, pharmacies, and health plans, has recently appointed Lynne Nowak as Chief Data Analytics Officer. Nowak is an experienced and visionary Senior Physician Executive who has demonstrated a remarkable track record of delivering exceptional results within the complex and dynamic healthcare industry.

With a passion for leveraging data, technology, and clinical interoperability, Nowak is committed to enhancing the quality, cost, and overall experience of healthcare delivery for patients, providers, and payers alike. She possesses deep clinical experience, having practiced as a board-certified internal medical physician for 15 years across various settings, including outpatient primary care, inpatient hospitalist medicine, skilled nursing, long-term care, and hospice/palliative care medicine.

Nowak’s expertise extends beyond clinical practice, as she has held senior leadership and management roles in a large payer/PBM/health services enterprise with over 70,000 employees. In these roles, she has been responsible for shaping clinical strategy, fostering provider engagement and experience, developing digital provider solutions, and implementing health information interoperability strategies (including compliance with FHIR data standards and interoperability regulations).

In her roles, Nowak was also involved in overseeing price transparency initiatives, leading advanced business and clinical analytics efforts, and driving data-driven product development and go-to-market strategies for a growing data, analytics, and platform solutions business.

Nowak’s skill set encompasses executive-level leadership, strategic planning, health policy, advocacy, and regulatory compliance, as well as a deep understanding of the provider and payer domains. She has a successful history of managing substantial investments of over US$150 million in business and data/technology development across different lines of business and multiple cross-functional departments within the highly matrixed health services enterprise.
