SMBC Americas Brings On Donna Hart as Chief Information Security Officer

Donna Hart, SMBC Americas Chief Information Security Officer

SMBC has appointed Donna Hart as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for its Americas Division, reinforcing the firm’s continued investment in strengthening its Americas platform.

Based in Charlotte and serving as a managing director, Hart will collaborate with global information security leaders to oversee cybersecurity strategy across the Americas. She brings more than 30 years of experience spanning information security, technology infrastructure, and cyber risk management.

Before joining SMBC Americas, Hart was CISO at Ally Financial, where she led the development and execution of an enterprise-wide information security and technology risk management framework. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles for more than two decades at Wells Fargo and Wachovia.

“Donna’s proven leadership in cybersecurity and risk management makes her an outstanding addition to SMBC,” said Greg Keeley, Chief Operating Officer of SMBC Americas. “Her ability to build resilient security programs and lead in complex risk environments will contribute to SMBC Americas’ continued growth.”
