Marriott International has appointed Shiv Misra as Managing Vice President, Data, AI & Emerging Technologies, where he steps into a global technology leadership role overseeing the company’s enterprise data, analytics, AI, and emerging technology initiatives.

In this role, Misra will support enterprise modernization efforts and help advance next-generation technology capabilities across the global hospitality company’s customers, associates, and business operations. His responsibilities include driving innovation and operational impact through data platforms, AI solutions, and personalization capabilities, while also supporting emerging technology initiatives spanning areas such as Quantum Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), sensor-based technologies, and Digital Twins.

Prior to joining Marriott, Misra led enterprise AI, data, and technology transformation initiatives across Fortune 500 organizations spanning healthcare, hospitality, consumer goods, financial services, media, and technology. Most recently at McKesson, he architected the company’s enterprise AI strategy and modernization agenda from the ground up, establishing the operating models, governance, platforms, and scalable capabilities required to embed AI across the enterprise while helping unlock billions of dollars in incremental business impact.

Known for operating at the intersection of technology strategy and execution, Misra has built global AI and analytics organizations and led enterprise technology ecosystems designed to translate emerging technologies into measurable business outcomes.
