Her journey within Barclays has seen her hold the position of Chief Data Officer for the Payments business initially, followed by assuming the role in Private Bank, Wealth Management, and Fraud.

Additionally, Jacob heads Data Strategy and Governance across the Consumer Banking and Payments Chief Data Office, overseeing support for six high-value and exciting business segments. A proven data leader with an impressive career spanning over 25 years, Jacob is a seasoned professional specializing in technology-enabled business transformation, particularly in the realms of banking, finance, and data. She started her professional journey in retail banking, before relocating to the United States, where she actively contributed to several data-focused transformational projects.

Jacob’s expertise extends from spearheading large-scale change initiatives centered on data warehousing and data mining to overseeing enterprise-wide Centers of Excellence. Throughout her career, she has consistently positioned data as a key lever to drive strategic initiatives and deliver tangible value. Notably, Jacob has successfully led high-value programs, leveraging data strategies to achieve efficiencies across various domains.
