Payments solutions provider Razorpay has appointed Praveen Parihar as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Based in Bengaluru, he will lead the fintech company’s cybersecurity strategy, governance, and regulatory compliance.

Parihar joins Razorpay from Maya, where he spent five years overseeing information security compliance and fraud risk management. He brings more than 14 years of experience in cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and risk management, with expertise spanning identity and access management, credit card fraud prevention, and consumer lending security.

Commenting on his appointment in a LinkedIn post, Parihar said, “Razorpay has been at the forefront of innovation, with security and privacy as a primary focus for the founders. I will contribute to Razorpay’s mission to build cutting-edge security initiatives and enhance customer and merchant trust in the digital financial ecosystem.”
