Raymond Karrenbauer, Hamilton Group Chief Information Officer at
Hamilton Insurance Group has announced the appointment of Raymond Karrenbauer as Group Chief Information Officer, effective September 15, 2025. He will become part of the company’s Executive Management team and report directly to Group Chief Financial Officer Craig Howie.
Karrenbauer will be responsible for leading Hamilton’s overall information technology strategy. He takes over from Venkat Krishnamoorthy, who is set to retire on August 30, 2025, after six years with the company.
Group CEO Pina Albo noted the importance of Karrenbauer’s appointment, stating that his extensive industry knowledge and record of innovation will help further strengthen the company’s technological capabilities and value delivery. Albo also acknowledged Krishnamoorthy’s significant contributions, including his leadership during the integration of Pembroke Managing Agency in 2019 and Hamilton’s successful listing on the NYSE in 2023.
Karrenbauer most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body, Inc. (The Cyber AB), where he also oversaw strategic IT functions in support of the U.S. Department of Defense’s cybersecurity compliance efforts. Before that, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at IFG Companies, where he led the firm’s digital transformation and core operations. His previous leadership roles also include executive positions at Axis Capital and ING Group.
Karrenbauer was inducted into the CIO Hall of Fame in 2018 and has received multiple recognitions for his leadership in technology and innovation.
