Prudential Financial has promoted Bob Bastian, most recently CIO and Global Head of Technology for Global Retirement and Insurance, to Chief Data and AI Officer.

In this role, Bastian will lead the company’s enterprise data, analytics, and AI strategy, focusing on delivering business value, strengthening risk management, and improving customer outcomes across its global operations. He will also promote the responsible adoption of AI and scale data capabilities across the organization.

Bastian brings nearly three decades of experience at Prudential, where he has held multiple senior leadership roles spanning enterprise digital technology, data, and business services.
