Vukosi Sambo, Private Health Administrators Group CIO
(EMEA) South African medical scheme administrator Private Health Administrators has announced the appointment of Vukosi Sambo as its new Group Chief Information Officer (CIO). Sambo is a highly regarded technology and data leader, recognized globally for his contributions to the field.
With an extensive background in data and analytics, Sambo holds several prestigious roles, including serving as an Advisory Board Member for the Oxford University Executive AI Programme and as an Associate Educator at Oxford University. He is also a member of the South African National AI Strategy Recommendation Forum, a Gartner Peer Ambassador for the Data and Analytics Community, and an Enterprise Big Data Ambassador for Africa.
His academic credentials include postgraduate qualifications in Business Administration, Economic Science, Risk Management, Data Management, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Digital Business Strategies, Cybersecurity, Lean Six Sigma, and the Oxford University Executive Leadership Programme.
In addition to his professional achievements, Sambo is an accomplished endurance athlete who has completed several marathons, including the Comrades Marathon, Irene Ultra Marathon, Two Oceans Marathon, Cape Town Marathon, and Soweto Marathon.
