Paramount has appointed Barak Turovsky as Executive Vice President and Head of Consumer AI, where he will help advance artificial intelligence capabilities across the company’s streaming ecosystem, including Paramount+ and Pluto TV.
In this role, Turovsky will work closely with teams across the organization to develop AI-powered personalization, content discovery, engagement, and platform intelligence capabilities designed to enhance consumer experiences.
Turovsky joins Paramount from General Motors, where he most recently served as Chief AI Officer. Prior to that, he was Vice President of AI at Cisco. Earlier, he spent more than 11 years at Google, including as Director and Head of Product for Languages AI, leading teams focused on natural language understanding and AI technologies used across products such as Search, Assistant, Cloud, Commerce, and Translate.
Reflecting on the appointment in a LinkedIn post, Turovsky said, “We’re entering a fascinating moment where AI is beginning to fundamentally reshape how consumers discover, engage with, and experience content. Few companies sit at the intersection of storytelling, technology, and global reach the way Paramount does across Paramount+ and Pluto TV.”
